Health and Physical Education

Why do we study Health and Physical Education?

Health and Physical Education provides a foundation for developing active and informed members of society, capable of managing their interactions with others and the environment in order to lead fulfilling lives. The multidimensional nature of health is explored across a variety topics with students challenged to consider how they can improve health outcomes for themselves and others. Priority is placed on creating fun, positive experiences that promote lifelong engagement in physical activity.

A positive attitude and willingness to ‘have a go’, are expectations for all Health and Physical Education sessions. Students are also required to bring a suitable change of gear to all practical lessons.
